Please review my shop policies and use the form below to reach out:
My shop rate is $100 an hour.
A musical instrument is a personal object with a story — sometimes even a sentimental one. To best serve the object and understand what characteristics I will be working to bring out of it, I need direct communication with its owner at every stage — from our first conversation through drop-off and pickup.
There is a non-refundable bench fee equal to one half hour of my posted shop rate. This covers my time to make a bench available and properly inspect the instrument. The bench fee will be applied toward the cost of repair if the instrument is left for servicing.
Ballpark rates for common jobs can be found on my pricing page. I cannot give an estimate without having the instrument in front of me on my bench.
An appointment time will be agreed upon and confirmed. Please show up on time. I reserve the right to refuse service to people who do not respect my time.
I will not accept any instrument that arrives without a case.
Upon acceptance I will give an estimated due date. I work hard to meet these deadlines, but things come up and deadlines get pushed back — in which case I will contact you with an update.
I do not respond to text messages about instruments. If your instrument is in with me, you have my email and phone number — email is preferred, or you’re welcome to give me a call.
For jobs under $300, full payment is due at pickup. All jobs quoted at $300 and above require 1/2 down payment at acceptance.
I accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, card and cash. Any fees incurred from card or other transactions will be passed on to you.
